Working with the source?

If you already have a trusted source checkout, you can load the extension locally for development.

  1. Build the package

    From the project folder, run npm install, then npm run package. The archive is written to dist/ with the magny-search prefix.

  2. Load the extension

    Extract the archive. Open chrome://extensions, turn on Developer mode, choose “Load unpacked”, and select the extracted folder containing manifest.json.

  3. Start close. Go wider.

    Open a regular web page and press Alt + Shift + F, or click the extension icon. Configure and consent to AI separately if you want cloud features.

Only install packages from a source you trust. Developer installation does not provide automatic Chrome Web Store updates.
